The Hon. Glenn A. Ritchey, Jr. (Ret.) served as a judge for the Stanislaus County Superior Court in California. Ritchey was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jerry Brown in 1982. He retired in 2002 and joined the Assigned Judges Program.
Prior to his appointment, Ritchey sat as Chief Deputy District Attorney for the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office.
Ritchey earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley in 1960. He spent the next several years working with the Monsanto Company before completing a J.D. from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 1972.
His memberships have included the Lions Club International, the Boy Scouts of America, and the United Methodist Church.
Ritchey was born in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. Shortly after, his family relocated to California, where he attended Keyes Elementary School and Turlock High School.
