The Hon. Harriett L. Haag is a judge for the Taylor County Court at Law No. 2 in Texas. She was elected to the bench on November 8, 2016, filling a vacancy created by the passing of the Hon. Samuel J. Carroll (deceased).
Prior to her election, Haag served as an assistant district attorney in the Taylor County District Attorney's Office for over twenty-five years. She has prosecuted cases in every court: adult and juvenile, civil and criminal, federal and state.
Haag earned a bachelor's degree from Abilene Christian University. Then, in 1984, she completed a J.D. at Pepperdine University, Rick J. Caruso School of Law .
Her board memberships have included the Christian Service Center, the Abilene Philharmonic Guild, the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, and the Texas Farm Bureau. She has also been an active participant in the Junior League of Abilene, Feed the Hundred, West Texas Rehabilitation Center, and Meals on Wheels.
She is registered as a Republican.
