The Hon. J. Ashley Parker is a judge for the 23rd Judicial Circuit Court in Arkansas. He was elected to the bench in 2014 and re-elected in 2020.
Prior to his election, Parker was the Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Lonoke County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, a position to which he was named in 2011.
Parker earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and political science from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law in 2000. He was admitted to the State Bar of Arkansas in 2001.
After graduating from law school, Parker spent time as a deputy prosecuting attorney for the Lonoke County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. He served in that capacity until 2006, at which time he transferred to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for the 8th Judicial District North. During his tenure with the 8th Judicial District North, he rose through the ranks, quickly becoming Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney (2007) and Prosecuting Attorney (2008).
His memberships have included the Arkansas Bar Association and the Lonoke County Bar Association.
Raised in Lonoke County, Parker attended Carlisle High School.
