Hon. James G. Arner (Ret.) is a senior judge for the Clarion County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. He was elected to the bench in 1999. Arner retired in 2019.
During his judicial tenure, Arner was the president judge of Clarion County.
He received a B.A. from Grove City College (1973) and an M.A. from Colorado State University (1975). Arner went on to complete a J.D. at Temple University, James E. Beasley School of Law in 1978.
Prior to his election, he had worked as a private practice attorney.
Arner held memberships with the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges Ethics Committee/Legislative Committee and Domestic Violence Benchbook Committee.
Arner was born in Brookville and is a graduate of Clarion Area High School.
He is married and has two children.
