The Hon. James W. Bateman, III is a judge for the 4th Judicial District Court of North Carolina.
The 4th Judicial District includes Duplin, Jones, Onslow, and Sampson Counties.
Prior to joining the bench, his legal career included working in private practice. During that time, Bateman was an associate at the Law Offices of John Drew Warlick, Jr., P.A. in Jacksonville.
He received a bachelor’s degree from East Carolina University. Bateman then completed a J.D. at Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2009. He was admitted to practice in North Carolina in 2010.
Bateman is registered as a Republican.
