The Hon. Jason M. Bohm is a circuit judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois. He was appointed to the bench by the Illinois Supreme Court on March 2, 2018, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. March 2, 2018.
The Sixth Judicial Circuit includes Champaign County, DeWitt County, Douglas County, Macon County, Moultrie County, and Piatt County.
Bohm earned a bachelor’s degree from Taylor University. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Illinois College of Law.
After graduating from law school, Bohm began his legal career as a law clerk to the Hon. Donald J. Stohr of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. He served in that capacity for two years, eventually leaving to become an associate at Sidley Austin. Then, in 2008, he joined the Office of the United States Attorney for the Central District of Illinois, where he worked as an assistant United States attorney until his appointment to the bench.
A resident of Dewey, Illinois, Bohm and his wife, Caroline, have three children. When not presiding over legal proceedings, he enjoys riding his bicycle.
He is registered as a Republican.
