Hon. Jason R. Aslinger is a judge for the Darke County Court of Common Pleas (Probate and Juvenile Division) in Ohio. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor John Kasich in March 2011 to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Michael D. McClurg, Sr. (Ret.).
Aslinger received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University. He went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Toledo College of Law.
Prior to joining the judiciary, Aslinger spent his entire legal career in private practice. At the time of his appointment, he was a sole practitioner at his own private practice, the Law Office of Jason Aslinger, LLC, a position he had held since 2005. His private practice work also included practicing as a partner at the Greenville law firm of Amick, Breaden & Aslinger and an associate at Dynes & Garbig in Arcanum.
His civic involvement included serving as a member of the board of Wayne Industries (past president), Main Street Greenville (past president), the Greenville Boys & Girls Club, the Darke County Chamber of Commerce (Legislative Committee), and the Greenville Schools Foundation.
He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 140 and a volunteer attorney for the Cancer Association of Darke County.
Asliger was raised in Darke County and is a graduate of Greenville High School. He and his wife, Karin, have three children. The family attends Ansonia Church of God.
