Hon. Jeanette A. Lineberry is a judge for the Pierce County District Court in Washington. She was elected to the seat in 2014.
During her tenure on the bench, Lineberry held the position of presiding judge of the District Court.
Prior to her election, Lineberry assisted domestic violence victims as an attorney for the Crystal Judson Family Justice Center (2010 to 2014) while also working as an attorney with the Northwest Justice Project (2013 to 2014). In addition to holding these positions, Lineberry handled criminal and civil cases as a pro tem judge on the Pierce County District Court and the Lakewood Municipal Court.
Her legal career also included representing individuals, families, and business owners as an attorney at the Lineberry Law Firm PLLC (2007 to 2014) and at Lineberry Kenney PLLC (2006 to 2010).
She also spent time in the public sector working as a city prosecutor for the City of Black Diamond (2007 to 2008) and a deputy prosecuting attorney with the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office (1999 to 2006).
Lineberry received a B.A. in political science from the University of Washington. She went on to complete a J.D. at Seattle University School of Law.
An active member of her community, Lineberry was a mentor for the high school senior judicial externship program and a former member of the Crystal Judson Family Justice Center Fund Development Committee and the Superior Court Commission. In addition, she has been a supporter of the Tacoma Community College, the Tacoma Art Museum, and Lawyers Helping Hungry Children.
At the time of her election, Lineberry and her husband, Doug, a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army National Guard, resided in Gig Harbor. They are the parents of two daughters.
