The Hon. Jessica H. Foster is a judge for the 20th Judicial District Court of Virginia. She was elected to the bench by the Virginia General Assembly on February 23, 2021, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. J. Gregory Ashwell.
The 20th Judicial District encompasses Fauquier, Loudoun, and Rappahannock Counties.
Prior to her election, Foster was a partner at Foster McCollam, a law firm based in Prince William County. She supplemented her practice with service as a volunteer attorney, assisting domestic violence victims and representing indigent defendants.
Foster earned a bachelor’s degree from George Mason University in 2006. She then completed a J.D. at Cooley Law School in 2009.
She is registered as a Democrat.
