The Hon. Jill Carpenter Weedon is a district judge for the Oklahoma Second Judicial District. The Second Judicial District encompasses Beckham, Custer, Ellis, Roger Mills, and Washita Counties.
Weedon began her judicial career as a special judge for the Custer County District Court in 1999. She served in that capacity until 2009, at which time she was named associate district judge of the Custer County District Court by former Governor Brad Henry.
Prior to her appointment, Weedon worked as an attorney in private practice in Clinton. She is admitted to practice in Oklahoma (1992), the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma (1992), and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit (1993).
Weedon earned a bachelor’s degree from Colorado College in 1989. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1992.
Her memberships have included the Custer County Bar Association (president) and the Clinton Kiwanis Club. She also sat as a board member for the Clinton Public School Foundation and the Clinton Chamber of Commerce.
Clinton was raised in Custer County, where she attended Clinton High School.
