Hon. John D. Klossner is a judge for the 10th Judicial District Court of Minnesota in Isanti County. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Mark Dayton on July 27, 2017, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. James E. Dehn (Ret.).
The 10th Judicial District includes Anoka, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Pine, Sherburne, Washington, and Wright Counties.
Prior to joining the bench, Klossner served as the first assistant chief public defender for the 8th Judicial District Public Defender’s Office and was a former managing attorney and an assistant public defender for the 10th Judicial District Public Defender’s Office.
He received a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Klossner went on to complete a J.D. at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. He was admitted to practice in Minnesota in 2002.
Klossner served as a past secretary of the Cambridge Isanti Hockey Association Board and a past chair of the City of Cambridge Planning Commission. He was also a member of the City of Cambridge Comprehensive Plan Committee.
