The Hon. John J. Assini is a commissioner for the Pima County Superior Court in Arizona. He was appointed to the bench in 2015.
Assini earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Arizona in 1981. He spent the next several years teaching first graders before completing a J.D. at the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law in 1994.
After graduating from law school, Assini entered into private practice. He specialized in family law matters, including premarital agreements, dissolutions of marriage, child support, paternity actions, spousal maintenance, and parenting time issues.
His memberships have included the Collaborative Law Group of Southern Arizona. He has also served on the Executive Council of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona and the Board for the Arizona Association of Family & Conciliation Courts.
