Hon. John R. Rauh is a judge for the Atlantic/Cape May County Superior Court (Vicinage 1) in New Jersey. He was appointed to the bench in 2002 and reappointed for tenure in 2009.
While on the bench, Rauh has held assignments in the Cape May County Family Division (2002 to 2017 and 2021 to present) and Criminal Division (2017) as well as the Atlantic County Criminal Division (2017 to 2021).
Prior to his appointment, Rauh was a partner at Gorman & Rauh, where he had practiced since 1994. Before that, he was an associate at Mairone, Biel, Zlotnick, Feinberg, Griffith & Stanger (1992 to 1994). Rauh had previously worked as a private practice attorney in Atlantic City since 1986.
He received a B.S.E. in labor and industrial relations from the University of Pennsylvania in 1982. Rauh went on to complete a J.D. at Temple University, James E. Beasley School of Law in 1985. While a law student, he was the research editor of the Law Review.
