Hon. Joseph L. Goff, Jr. (Ret.) was an associate circuit judge for the 24th Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jay Nixon in 2015. Goff resigned on September 5, 2021, after which time he joined a private law firm in St. Louis.
The 24th Judicial Circuit Court includes Madison, St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, and Washington Counties.
Prior to his appointment, Goff was an assistant prosecuting attorney with the St. Francios County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. Before that, he worked as an assistant attorney general and was an attorney at Reeves & Goff, P.C.
He received a B.A. from Southwest Missouri State University in 1986. Goff went on to complete a J.D. at Saint Louis University School of Law in 1989.
He was admitted to practice in Missouri (1989), the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri (1989), and Illinois (1990).
