Hon. Josh S. Farmer is a judge for the 22nd Judicial Circuit Court of Arkansas in Saline County. He was elected to the bench in 2020.
While on the bench, Farmer hears criminal, domestic relations, and civil cases, as well as Orders of Protection.
Prior to his election, he was the City Attorney for the City of Bryant, a position to which he was elected in 2014 and reelected in 2018. Farmer also managed a law practice in Benton.
He received a bachelor’s degree from Ouachita Baptist University and a master’s degree in business administration from Henderson State University. Farmer went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law in 2009. He was admitted to practice in Arkansas in 2010.
Farmer was appointed by Governor Asa Hutchinson to serve as a special justice to the Arkansas Supreme Court and was also a special judge to the Saline County District Court.
He and his wife, Dr. Sarah Farmer, have two children. His father, Tom Farmer, has served as the mayor of Benton.
