The Hon. Julia L. Alloggiamento is a judge for the Superior Court of Santa Clara County in California. She was elected to the bench in 2010.
Alloggiamento earned a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. She then completed a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1994.
She began her legal career as a law clerk for the Hon. William D. Keller of the United States District Court for the Central District of California in 1994. After completing her clerkship, she accepted a position as an associate with Morrison & Foerster LLP. During her tenure there, she litigated complex civil matters concerning financial, real estate, consumer class action, and intellectual property issues.
Then, in 1998, Alloggiamento joined the Office of the District Attorney of Santa Clara County. She served there as a deputy district attorney, handling cases ranging from misdemeanors to homicides until her election to the bench.
Alloggiamento is a recipient of the Wiley M. Manuel Award for pro bono legal services.
