Hon. Justin Beresky is a judge for the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Doug Ducey in 2018.
Since his appointment, Beresky has held assignments in the Criminal and Family Courts.
He also presided for five years as a commissioner of the Superior Court in Maricopa County (2012 to 2017), during which time he presided on the Criminal and Probation Violation Courts and was designated a special assignment commissioner in Mesa.
Prior to beginning his judicial career, Beresky was an attorney at Beresky & Fish, P.C., where he had practiced since 2001. At the firm, he handled criminal defense law, family law, personal injury, bankruptcy, and general civil litigation.
He also spent two years as a deputy county attorney with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office (1999 to 2001) and was an associate at the Law Offices of H. Eldon Hanson before that (1998 to 1999).
Beresky received a B.A. in secondary education from the University of New Mexico in 1994. He went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Idaho College of Law in 1997.
His memberships have included the State Bar of Arizona, the Maricopa County Bar Association, the Arizona Law Alliance, and the City of Glendale Judicial Selection Advisory Board.
Beresky also sat on the state bar’s Professionalism Committee.
