The Hon. Karen B. Wolff is a judge for the Family Court of the City of New York in Richmond County. She was appointed to the bench by former Mayor Michael Bloomberg in 2010 and re-appointed by Mayor Bill de Blasio in 2015.
Prior to her appointment to the bench, Wolff served as a court attorney and special referee for the Hon. Barbara Panepinto of the Matrimonial Part of the Richmond County Supreme Court. Before that, she worked as corporate counsel for the Medical Malpractice Unit of the New York City Law Department as well as an attorney in private practice.
Wolff earned a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany. Then, in 1986, she completed a J.D. at Albany Law School.
She has served as president of the Staten Island Women’s Bar Association and as a member of the Board of the Staten Island Children’s Museum.
Wolff is registered as a Democrat.
A resident of West Brighton at the time of her appointment, Wolff has been married to Jay S. Duskin, a partner at Duskin and Crowe.
