The Hon. Keith M. Bail is an associate judge for the 18th Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. He was appointed to the bench in 2007.
The 18th Judicial Circuit includes Cooper County and Pettis County.
Bail earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1984. He spent the next few years working in finance before completing a J.D. at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 1993.
After graduating from law school, Bail began his legal career as a law clerk to the Hon. Robert W. Berrey of the Missouri Court of Appeals (Western District). Then, after the conclusion of his clerkship, he became an assistant prosecuting attorney.
His memberships have included the Boonville Rotary Club, the Friends of Historic Boonville, and Boonslick Habitat for Humanity.
Raised in Boonville, Missouri, Bail attended Boonville High School. He and his wife, Cathy, have two children. Cathy works as a claims adjuster for Shelter Insurance in Columbia. They attend St. John’s United Church of Christ in Billingsville. When not presiding over legal proceedings, he enjoys working on his biking, exercising at the YMCA, and working on his family farm.
