The Hon. Kevin P. Braig is a judge for the General Division of the Logan County Court of Common Pleas in Ohio. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Mike DeWine on December 2, 2019, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. William T. Goslee.
Prior to his appointment, Braig was a partner at Shumaker, Loop and Kendrick, a position he held since 2014. Before that, he spent ten years as an attorney at Dinsmore & Shohl. While in private practice, he specialized in farming, agribusiness, sports betting, and commodity trading matters, representing businesses that are highly regulated by federal, state, and local government agencies.
Braig earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ohio University in 1989. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2003.
His memberships have included the Ohio State Bar Association.
He has maintained a website dedicated to objectively quantifying and analyzing National Football League coaching through the prism of economic growth theory.
