Hon. Laura Giaquinto is a commissioner for the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona.
During her tenure as a commissioner, she has held an assignment in the Criminal Court.
Prior to joining the bench, Giaquinto was chief counsel in the Protective Services Section (Southeast Region) of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office (2014 to 2015). During her tenure there, she also served as chief counsel (2011 to 2014), senior litigation counsel (2007 to 2010), and a managing attorney (2005 to 2007) in the Protective Services Section.
Giaquinto had previously worked as an Assistant United States Attorney with the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona in Tucson (2000 to 2002).
Before joining the Department of Justice, she served her first stint with the state’s Attorney General’s Office beginning in 1996. Her legal career also included working for two years as an account representative and senior academic representative with West Publishing Corporation (1994 to 1996).
Giaquinto received a B.A. from the University of Arizona in 1991. She went on to complete a J.D. at Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in 1994.
