Hon. Lawrence J. Brenner (Ret.) was a judge for the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Robert P. Casey, Sr. in November 1991. After retiring from the bench, Brenner presided for a time as a senior judge.
He received a B.A. from St. Charles Seminary in 1959. Brenner went on to complete a J.D. at Villanova University, Charles Widger School of Law in 1965.
Prior to joining the judiciary, he acted as solicitor for Lehigh County (1983 to 1991). Before that, Brenner worked for several years as an assistant district attorney with the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office (1968 to 1976).
His memberships included the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Lehigh County Bar Association.
Brenner served for two years as president of the United Way for Lehigh County (1983 to 1985).
