Hon. Lori Bustamante is a judge for the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jan Brewer in August 2014.
During her judicial tenure, Bustamante has held assignments in the Civil, Family, and Juvenile Courts. She also served as the Northwest Presiding Judge (2018).
At the time of her appointment, she was a commissioner of the Superior Court (2011 to 2014). Before that, Bustamante was a sole practitioner in her own private practice, the Law Office of Lori Horn, P.C. (2006 to 2011).
She opened her practice after serving as a senior trial attorney for Allstate Insurance Company (2001 to 2006) and a deputy county attorney with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office (1997 to 2001).
Bustamante received a B.S. in justice studies and history from Grand Canyon University in 1994. She went on to complete a J.D. at Pepperdine University, Rick J. Caruso School of Law in 1996.
