The Hon. Lori J. Baskins is an associate judge for the 8th Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. She was elected to the bench on November 4, 2014.
The 8th Judicial Circuit includes Ray County and Carroll County.
Baskins earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and mathematics from Missouri State University in 1987. She then completed a J.D. at Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 1990.
After graduating from law school, Baskins entered into private practice, working as an associate at Kohn, Shands, Elbert, Gianoulakis & Giljum in St. Louis. She stayed with the firm until 1997, at which time she became the deputy state supervisor for the Division of Alcohol & Tobacco Control of the Missouri Department of Public Safety. Then, in 2005, she returned to private practice in Richmond.
Born in Windsor, Missouri, Baskins attended Fort Osage High School in Independence.
She is registered as a Democrat.
