The Hon. Marcia R. Hearnsberger is a judge for the 18th East Judicial Circuit Court in Arkansas. She was elected to the bench in 2006 and re-elected in 2014 and 2020.
Prior to her election, Hearnsberger was a judge for the Garland County District Court, a position to which she was named in 1999. Before that, she spent one year as a judge for the 18th East Judicial Circuit Court (1997 to 1998).
Hearnsberger earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dallas in 1976. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1979.
After graduating from law school, Hearnsberger began her legal career as a deputy prosecuting attorney for the Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. She served in that capacity until 1982. Then, in 1987, she joined the Garland County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, rising through the ranks to become Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in 1995.
Her memberships have included the Board of Hot Springs YMCA and the Board of Hot Springs Documentary Film Institute.
