The Hon. Marilynn C. Goss is a judge for the 13th Judicial District Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court of Virginia. She was elected to the bench by the Virginia General Assembly on May 1, 2008.
The 13th Judicial District encompasses the City of Richmond. Over the course of her judicial career, Goss has served as the presiding judge for the Richmond Juvenile Drug Treatment Court.
Prior to her election, Goss spent time as a senior attorney for the Central Virginia Legal Aid Society in Richmond. In that capacity, she specialized in family law, housing law, and bankruptcy matters. Goss supplemented her practice with service as a substitute judge for the 13th Judicial District Court.
Goss earned a bachelor’s degree from Marshall University in 1975. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Richmond School of Law in 1982.
