Hon. Matthew J. Wilson is a circuit judge for the 2nd Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Mike Parson in 2022, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Russell E. Steele (Ret.).
The 2nd Judicial Circuit Court includes Adair, Knox, and Lewis Counties.
During his judicial tenure, Wilson has served as Presiding Judge of the 2nd Judicial Circuit Court and presides over the Juvenile Division.
Prior to his appointment, he was the Prosecuting Attorney for Adair County, a position to which he was appointed by former Governor Jay Nixon in 2010.
Wilson received a B.A. from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He went on to complete a J.D. at Creighton University School of Law in 2004.
