The Hon. Michael S. Irvine (Ret.) was a judge for the 25th Judicial Circuit Court of Virginia.
The 25th Judicial District includes the Cities of Buena Vista, Lexington, Staunton, and Waynesboro as well as the Counties of Alleghany, Augusta, Bath, Botetourt, Craig, Highland, and Rockbridge.
Prior to beginning his judicial career, he represented individuals in personal injury claims, including malpractice, construction disputes, insurance disputes, divorce, and civil matters in private practice. During that time, Irvine was a partner at Robey & Irvine and Irvine & Groot. Irvine also served as the elected Commonwealth’s Attorney for the Town of Buena Vista and was a commissioner in chancery and commissioner of accounts.
He received a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Irvine then completed a J.D. at the University of Richmond School of Law.
He is a past president of the Chamber of Commerce, the Lions Club, and the United Way. Irvine also sat as a board member of Stonewall Jackson Hospital and was a former member of the Buena Vista Centennial Commission.
Following his retirement, he joined Juridical Solutions.
