Hon. Michelle Moore is a judge for the 314th District Court of Texas in Harris County. She was elected to the bench in 2018.
Moore presides over the Juvenile Court and has served as Administrative Judge of the Juvenile Division (2019 and 2022). She has also presided over the specialty teen drug court, SOAR.
Prior to her election, Moore was an assistant county attorney with the Harris County Attorney’s Office since 2010, where she served as the 315th Court chief in the Child Protection Division (2012 to 2018). Before that, she was an assistant district attorney for both the District Attorney’s Offices in Cameron (2006 to 2007) and Dallas Counties (2007 to 2010).
Moore received a B.S. in criminal justice from Prairie View A&M University in 2001. She went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Houston Law Center in 2006.
When not presiding over legal matters, Moore enjoys physical fitness, completing DIY projects, and watching HGTV.
She is registered as a Democrat.
