The Hon. O. Henry Willis, Jr. (Ret.) was a judge for the 11th Judicial District Court of North Carolina in Johnston County. He returned to the bench in 2007. Willis retired in 2022.
The 11th Judicial District includes Harnett, Johnston, and Lee Counties.
Willis previously presided as an 11th Judicial District Court judge for five years beginning in 1987. In between his judicial positions, he worked as a private practice attorney (1993 to 2007).
Before joining the bench, Willis served as the City Attorney for the City of Dunn (1981 to 1987) and was in private practice since 1979. Outside of his legal career, he was a deputy sheriff in Harnett County.
Willis received a B.A. in politics and criminal justice from North Carolina State University in 1975. He then completed a J.D. at Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 1979.
