The Hon. Paul A. Hardison (Ret.) was a judge for the 4th Judicial District Court of North Carolina. He was elected to the bench in 1990. Hardison retired in 2019.
The 4th Judicial District includes Duplin, Jones, Onslow, and Sampson Counties. During his judicial tenure, he served as Chief District Court judge for the 4th Judicial District, having received an appointment to the position by Chief Justice Mark Martin in 2014.
Prior to his election to the bench, Hardison worked in private practice in Onslow County since 1984.
He received a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina Central University. Hardison then completed a J.D. at North Carolina Central University School of Law in 1985. He was admitted to practice in North Carolina (1984), the United States Court of Military Appeals, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
