The Hon. Paul J. Ganim is a judge for the Bridgeport Probate Court (District 48) in Fairfield County, Connecticut. He was elected to the bench in 1998.
Ganim earned a bachelor’s degree in politics from Fairfield University in 1987. He then completed a J.D. at Quinnipiac University School of Law in 1992. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, and the United States Supreme Court.
After graduating law school, Ganim joined his family’s law firm in Bridgeport, where he specialized in civil litigation, criminal defense, and probate matters. Then, in 2012, he opened his own practice, Ganim Legal, in Fairfield. He handles will, trusts, decedent estates, guardianship, and custody matters.
His brother, Joseph Ganim, faced federal corruption and racketeering charges as the former Mayor of Bridgeport.
