Hon. Ricky Tripp is a judge for the Tulare County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Gavin Newsom in December 2020.
Tripp received a bachelor’s degree in political science from California State University, Fresno. He went on to earn a J.D. from San Joaquin College of Law in 2001.
He began his legal career as an associate at The Law Office of John A. Barker, where he practiced briefly as an associate before joining The Law Office of Sawl and Netzer in 2002. His time there would also be brief. Tripp joined The Law Office of Nelson, Rozier, and Bettencourt in 2003, where he practiced as an associate until 2006.
It was at that time, he joined the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office, where he held several positions including serving as a supervising deputy district attorney.
In 2019, Tripp was selected to serve as a court commissioner with the Tulare County Superior Court. He remained in that capacity until his appointment to the bench.
He is married and has two daughters.
