The Hon. Robert C. Marsaglia (Ret.) served as a circuit judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois. Marsaglia was appointed to the bench by the Illinois Supreme Court in 2001. He retired on December 6, 2020.
The 13th Judicial Circuit includes Bureau County, Grundy County, and LaSalle County.
Prior to his appointment, Marsaglia was an associate judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit, a position to which he was named in 1996. Before that, he was a partner at Marsaglia & Russo, supplementing his practice with service as a city attorney for the Village of Coal City as well as an assistant state’s attorney for the Grundy County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Marsaglia earned a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University. He then completed a J.D. at DePaul University College of Law in 1983.
