Hon. Steven A. Minicucci is an associate judge for the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Gina Raimondo on May 19, 2017.
Prior to his appointment, Minicucci was a litigation and trial attorney at Calvino Law Associates, where he handled estate planning, drafting, and workers’ compensation matters. His work there also included cases involving victims of the fire at The Station nightclub. Minicucci joined the firm in 1989.
In addition, he spent time as a probate judge for the Town of Warren and taught as a professor at Roger Williams Law School.
Minicucci received a B.A. from Providence College in 1986. He went on to complete a J.D. at Suffolk University Law School in 1989.
He was admitted to practice in Rhode Island (1989) and Massachusetts (1998).
Minicucci has been involved with Fuerza Laboral, the Rhode Island Institute for Labor Studies and Research, and the City of Cranston’s Zoning Board.
He and his wife, Christina, have three children. At the time of his appointment, the family resided in Cranston. Minicucci is a graduate of North Providence High School (1982).
