The Hon. Ted A. Crozier, Jr. (Ret.) is a former judge for Part III of the 19th Judicial District Circuit Court of Tennessee. He was elected to the bench in 2016. Crozier retired in 2022.
The 19th Judicial District includes Montgomery and Robertson Counties.
Prior to his election, Crozier served for several years as clerk and master of the 19th Judicial District Chancery Court (2005 to 2016). Before that, he was a partner at Rassas, North & Crozier, PLLC (2000 to 2005).
He received a bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1975. Crozier then served for five years as an extradition officer for the State of Tennessee (1995 to 2000) before completing a J.D. at the Nashville School of Law in 2000.
He enlisted in the United States Army Reserve in 1971, completing basic training at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. Following a transfer to Fort Belvoir, Crozier was later commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army’s Infantry branch in 1976. He served until his honorable discharge in 1995, holding the rank of Major. Crozier, who was also stationed in Germany, was awarded the Overseas Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Expert Infantryman’s Badge, the Air Assault Badge, the Parachute Badge, and the United States Army Ranger Tab.
Crozier is a past president of the Montgomery County Bar Association and a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Association of the United States Army, the Military Officers Association of America, the 101st Airborne Division Association, the Tennessee State Court Clerks Association, and the County Officials Association of Tennessee.
He attended the Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Georgia. Crozier and his wife, Ann Marie, a teacher, have two grown children.
He is registered as a Republican.
