The Hon. Teresa H. Vincent is a judge for the Guilford County District Court in the 18th Judicial District of North Carolina. She was elected to the bench in 2000.
Vincent was appointed Chief District Court Judge by Chief Justice Cheri Beasley in 2019, filling the vacancy created by the passing of the Hon. Tom Jarrell.
Prior to beginning her judicial career, she worked for seven years as an assistant district attorney.
Vincent received a bachelor’s degree in public administration from North Carolina Central University in 1988. She then completed a J.D. at North Carolina Central University School of Law in 1993.
Vincent was elected vice president of the North Carolina Bar Association Board of Governors in 2020.
She received the Outstanding Woman in the Profession Award from the Elon Law Women’s Law Association in 2013.
Vincent is registered as a Democrat.
