Hon. Terra G. Stephenson is a judge for the Washington County District Court in Arkansas. She was elected to the bench in 2020.
The Washington County District Court includes the Bethel Heights, Johnson, Springdale, Farmington, Lincoln, Prairie Grove, Elkins, Greenland, West Fork, and Elm Springs Departments. Stephenson has presided in the Elkins, Greenland, and Elm Springs Departments.
Over the course of her legal career, she worked for thirteen years as a deputy prosecutor with the Washington County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. While there, her caseload included homicides, sexual assaults, and child abuse cases. Stephenson was promoted to senior deputy prosecutor in 2015.
She received a B.A. in history from the University of Arkansas. Stephenson went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2006.
She received the Deputy for Justice Award from the Arkansas Prosecuting Attorneys Association in 2009.
Stephenson is a native of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
