The Hon. Terry A. Bork is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench in 2007 by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. He filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Lois A. Smaltz (Ret.).
He is a registered Republican.
Judge Bork received his B.S. from Pacific Union College in 1982. He went on to earn his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1985.
After graduating from law school, Bork became an associate at the law firm of McKenna, Conner, and Cueno, where he practiced for two years starting in 1986.
Then, in 1988, he left the private sector to join the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office as a deputy district attorney. During his almost twenty years as a prosecutor, Bork served in the D.A.'s Misdemeanor and Juvenile Units, the Central Felony Trial Unit, and their Special Investigation Division. At the time of his appointment to the Superior Court in 2007, Bork was serving as a legal advisor to the Grand Jury.
