The Hon. Thomas H. Bornholdt (Ret.) was a judge for the 10th Judicial District Court of Kansas in Johnson County. He joined the bench in 1993. Bornholdt retired in 2013.
Prior to beginning his judicial career, he was a partner and civil litigator at Neill Bornholdt & Terrill since 1989.
Bornholdt received a B.A. in history from the University of Kansas in 1964. He then completed a J.D. at Georgetown Law School in 1968.
Bornholdt was admitted to practice in Kansas (1968), the United States District Court for the District of Kansas (1968), the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (1983), the United States Supreme Court (1984), the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit (1984), and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit (1987).
Following his retirement, he entered private mediation at Sunflower Dispute Resolution in 2016 and later managed his own private mediation firm beginning in 2019.
