The Hon. Thomas L. Weisenbeck (Ret.) served as a judge for the Morris/Sussex County Superior Court (Vicinage 10) in New Jersey. Weisenbeck was appointed to the bench by former Governor Richard Codey on May 19, 2005. He retired on May 27, 2015.
Over the course of his judicial career, Weisenbeck held assignments in the Family Division in Morris County. He was subsequently named Presiding Judge of the Family Division (2009 to 2011) and Assignment Judge for Vicinage 10 (2011 to 2015).
Weisenbeck earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1967. He spent the next few years serving with the United States Army, where he was tasked with defending soldiers accused of disciplinary infractions or minor offenses during the Vietnam War. He then completed a J.D. at Rutgers Law School in 1973. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey (1974) and New York (1981).
After graduating from law school, Weisenbeck began his legal career as a law clerk for the Hon. Robert Muir, Jr. of the Chancery Division of the Morris/Sussex County Superior Court. He then spent time as a trial attorney for the United States Department of Justice (1977 to 1982) and as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Office of the United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey (1982 to 1985). He was also a partner at Hannoch Weisman and Bressler, Amery & Ross (1992 to 2005).
Following his retirement, Weisenbeck returned to his practice at Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C.
