The Hon. Tina M. Boyer is a judge for the General Division of the Perry County Court of Common Pleas in Ohio. Boyer was elected to the bench on November 4, 2008, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Linton D. Lewis. She began her term on July 6, 2010.
Boyer earned a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in 1991. She then completed a J.D. at Capital University Law School in 1994. She is admitted to practice in Ohio, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the United States Supreme Court.
After graduating from law school, Boyer entered into private practice. She supplemented her practice with service as a magistrate for the Juvenile Division (1995 to 2009) and the General Division (1999 to 2010) of the Perry County Court of Common Pleas.
Her memberships have included the Perry County Bar Association (president), the Ohio State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Ohio Common Pleas Judges Association, and the Ohio Association of Domestic Relations Judges. She also sat on the Perry County Board of MR/DD and the Criminal Law & Procedure Committee, the Civil Law & Procedure Committee, the Judicial Ethics & Professionalism Committee, and the Community Corrections Committee of the Ohio Judicial Conference.
Raised in Somerset, Boyer is the fourth of five daughters. She attended Sheridan High School in Thornville, where she currently resides with her husband, Bryan, and their three sons.
