Hon. Todd A. Fox is a judge for the Fifty-First District Court of Michigan in Oakland County. He was elected to the bench in November 2016.
Prior to his election, Fox had managed his own private solo practice, Todd A. Fox, P.C. (1993 to 2016), and was a real estate broker at The Fox Group, LLC (1998 to 2016). At his firm, he litigated cases involving family law and criminal defense matters.
He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Grand Valley State University in 1989. Fox went on to complete a J.D. at Detroit College of Law in 1993. While in law school, he served as a Michigan District Court officer (1992 to 1994), a judicial clerk for the Oakland County Circuit Court (1991 to 1992), and a clerk at a private law firm (1990 to 1991).
He was admitted to practice in Michigan (1993), the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan (1994), Colorado (1995), and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
His memberships have included the Oakland County Bar Association, the Michigan District Judges Association, and the Oakland County District Judges Association.
Fox has also been involved with the Waterford Township Board of Trustees, the Waterford Lions Club, the Waterford Elks, and the Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce.
He was raised in Waterford Township, where he attended Waterford Kettering High School.
