The Hon. Ursula M. Jones Dickson is a judge for the Alameda County Superior Court in California. She was appointed to the bench by former governor Jerry Brown in 2013. She filled the vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. Paul D. Seeman.
She is a registered Democrat.
Judge Dickson graduated with her B.A. in sociology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1990. She went on to earn her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1998.
She began her legal career as a deputy district attorney for the Alameda County District Attorney's Office in 1999. She would remain there until her appointment to the Superior Court in 2013.
While on the bench, Judge Dickson has served as an assistant presiding judge for the Juvenile Dependency Department at the Juvenile Justice Center.
