Hon. Vikram S. Deivanayagam is a judge for the McLennan County Court at Law No. 1 in Texas. He was appointed to the bench by the McLennan County Commissioners Court on February 2, 2017.
Deivanayagam also presides over the DWI/Drug Court.
Prior to beginning his judicial career, he was a partner at the Law Office of Rod Goble since 2000. Deivanayagam, who is board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, handled criminal defense matters with the firm after beginning his practice there in 1996.
In addition to his practice, he was an associate judge for the City of Woodway (1997 to 2017) and taught as an adjunct professor at Baylor University School of Law.
Deivanayagam received a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Memphis in 1993. He went on to complete a J.D. at Baylor University School of Law (criminal law) in 1996.
He received the Outstanding Mentor Award from the McLennan County Young Lawyers Association in 2019.
Deivanayagam is a married father of three children.
