The Hon. W. Douglas Collins is a judge for the Hamblen County General Sessions Court in Tennessee. He was appointed to the bench on June 1, 2012, and re-elected in 2012, 2014, and 2022.
Prior to his appointment, Collins was a sole practitioner in his own private practice.
Collins earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 1990. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, in 1993.
His memberships have included the Tennessee Bar Association, the Hamblen County Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. He has also been involved with the Morristown Chamber of Commerce and the Hamblen County American Red Cross.
