The Hon. William C. McConico is a judge for the 36th District Court of Michigan. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jennifer Granholm on June 23, 2010, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. C. Lorene Royster.
Prior to his appointment, McConico served as the City Attorney for the City of Highland Park. Before that, he spent time as an associate at Allen Brothers.
McConico earned a bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College. He then completed a J.D. at Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
His memberships have included the Board of the Detroit-Wayne County Port Authority. He also sat as Vice Chair of Government Relations for the Super Bowl XL Host Committee, and he represented the City of Detroit in the Michigan House of Representatives (2000 to 2006).
McConico is a recipient of the Proclamation of Excellence from the Michigan Association of Municipal Attorneys (2010).
He was a resident of Detroit, Michigan, at the time of his appointment. He attended the University of Detroit Jesuit High School.
