The Hon. William H. Layden, Jr. (Ret.) served as a special judge for the Pittsburg County District Court in Oklahoma. He was appointed to the bench by the district judges of the Oklahoma Eighteenth Judicial District in 2006. He resigned in 2011.
In 2011, Layden was charged with conspiring to obstruct an embezzlement investigation involving the Pittsburg County Drug Court. Prosecutors dismissed the charges against Layden after he agreed to never hold public office again. He was also required to pay $4,717 in restitution to the state auditor.
