Sacor Financial, Inc.’s Motion to Correct Error in Rejecting Renewal of Judgment is DENIED.

Plaintiff National Credit Acceptance, Inc. filed the instant action for breach of contract against Defendant Eric Salvador (“Defendant”) on January 20, 2005. On August 19, 2005, the court entered default judgment against Defendant in the amount of $2,591.48. Plaintiff’s Assignee, Sacor Financial, Inc. (“SFI”), contends that an assignment of the judgment from Plaintiff to SFI was mailed to the court on January 20, 2015 for filing. (Motion, Scalia Decl., ¶ 3 and Exh. B.) Thereafter, on July 15, 2015, SFI states that it mailed an application for renewal of judgment to the court. (Id. at ¶ 4 and Exh. C.) The application was received by the court on July 17, 2015. On September 10, 2015, the application was rejected as being untimely because the ten-year limitation on judgments expired on August 19, 2015, and because no assignment of judgment was filed.
