Defendants AT&T Services Inc. and Direct TV, LLC’s motion to compel Plaintiff Erik Zarate’s claims to arbitration is GRANTED.

Plaintiff Erik Zarate brought the instant suit against his former employer Defendant AT&T Services Inc. Defendant Direct TV, LLC was brought in as Doe 2.

The Complaint alleges that Defendants terminated Plaintiff due to his physical disability. The Complaint states eight causes of action for: 1) disability discrimination; 2) failure to engage in god faith interactive process; 3) failure to accommodate; 4) retaliation; 5) failure to take reasonable steps to prevent discrimination or retaliation; 6) violation of the CFRA; 7) retaliation in violation of the CFRA; and 8) wrongful termination.

On August 24, 2020, Defendants moved to compel arbitration and stay the proceedings. On October 15, 2020, Plaintiff filed an opposition. On October 22, 2020, Defendants filed a reply.
